We welcome both male and female residents at Ridge House over the age of 65. Before admission, all potential residents will be assessed to ensure that Ridge House is the best choice to fulfil their needs. This will involve visiting them in their home, hospital or at their preferred location. Likewise, we encourage the potential resident in making as many visits as they feel they need to Ridge House gathering information from the prospective resident, representatives and professionals involved in their care. Residents are encouraged to also ask as many questions as they wish to confirm Ridge House is the best home for them.

Upon confirming a place at Ridge House, we work closely with families in the decorating and personalisation of the resident’s bedroom to reflect their interests and previous livelihoods. Care plans are compiled to identify each individual’s needs. The level of care required for each resident is recorded, risk assessments are carried out and ongoing daily monitoring and reviews are recorded to ensure a continuity of care for each individual. Formal and informal reviews are held regularly and our aim is always to work closely with the residents and relatives to provide the best possible care, to inform and update of any changes in a residents wellbeing and to listen to any worries or suggestions that may have.

Ridge House provides staffed cover 24 hours a day. There is a nurse call system in all rooms if any assistance is required. Menus are compiled with a variety of different food cooked daily. We pride ourselves in using fresh produce supplied locally with fresh fruits and homemade cakes available each day for our residents to enjoy. All meals are served either in the dining room or in individual rooms depending on their preference and medical diets catered for.
